TV Station Usage

The EWeatherMail Service was designed with TV stations in mind. The idea was to give TV Weather Departments a public service and promotional tool that will set them apart from the other stations in their market as well as serve a genuine need. The way to use this service on television is simply to promote it during your newscasts as a free public service. We also recommend promoting it on your TV Station website if you have one. EWeatherMail offers free web HTML plug ins that allow visitors to your site to signup for the service. Of course your viewers can simply signup by sending an email message too.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

There are several business tie in opportunities that you can use to sponsor EWeatherMail. You can even have the sponsorship information included in each weather bulletin using the custom links, graphics, and advertising options of our service.

Outdoor Companies- we can include all sorts of weather information that makes this ervice applicable to outdoor and environmental companies. Fishing reports, river and lake levels, resort area forecasts etc. are just a few ideas to help you tie this in for potential sponsors

Power Companies- who gets hit by weather the most? If your local power company has a "status" page on the web, it can be included with the daily EWeatherMail forecast. A rotating ad banner of "Severe Weather Safety tips" ffor power companies can also be inlcuded.

Agribusiness- farmers and the businesses that support them depend on the weather more than anybody else. What farmer wouldn't want to get an EWeatherMail before   heading for his fields  to let him know severe weather is on the way?

Here are some others that you can explore Outdoor Recreational Companies, Golf Courses, Ski resort operators, plus many others. Just about any business that weather affects would be a candidate.

Ways to promote EWeatherMail on TV:

By announcement-    All you have to do is promote the service on the air by saying something like: If you'd like to signup for our free Channel xx EWeatherMail service, send an email to  EWeatherMail@tvweather.com and in the body of the message put SUBSCRIBE (your call letters)  in the first line of the message. For example:  SUBSCRIBE WXYZ

In ON-Air Weather Graphics-    Include the information about how to signup for your custom EWeatherMail Service in your regular on-air weather graphics.  Be sure to include your web address to send viewers to. They visit your site to signup, boosting web impressions for your web advertisers.

On Your Web Page- You can freely modify and use our HTML signup page to add to your existing web page where people can signup by simply typing in their email address. EWeatherMail then sends a confirming email back to them (to prevent somebody else from using their email address without their knowledge) and they reply to it. Once done, they are subscribed to your custom EWeatherMail Service.

You can post EWeatherMail directly to your web page- For viewers that prefer to visit rather than receive.
